Italian Superenalotto Update: €12M Jackpot on Thurs. Feb. 5
There was no winner in the Tuesday, February 3rd draw of the Italian Superenalotto. The winning numbers were 11-13-17-49-51-61 and Jolly Number 8.
The record for a single Jackpot win was set on Oct. 23, 2008 when the winner took home the €100,756,197.30 (US$129.7 million.) first prize. It broke the previous record set in May 2005 when a single first prize winner took home €72.090.405,19 (US$93 million).
The SuperEnalotto is undoubtedly one of the highest-paying lottery games in Europe. With its broad number range (pick 6 out of 90), rollover draws – and huge jackpots – are actually quite common. The game is so popular in its home country that Italians reportedly spend over €27 Billion a year on lottery play. Additionally, unlike any other European games, the Superenalotto holds draws three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) – giving more chances to win each week, for a much lower cost.
To play the Italian Superenalotto, you must choose 6 numbers from 1-90. Match all six numbers and you win the JACKPOT. Because the number range is so wide (1-90) roll-over draws – and HUGE jackpots – are very common.
